fLO works with small to medium size businesses in developing unique strategic solutions via a proven methodology that results in effective social media/online content marketing planning and implementation.
To further prove that companies, agencies, people, organizations, cats, ghosts, and their mothers will dive headfirst into social media without giving a damn about strategy or goals or any of those nifty little things, I came across this today.
The part that I love is that they mention using social media to keep people informed of what’s going on, and the two examples they give are alerting drivers of up-to-the-minute traffic snarls. Isn’t fiddling with your smart phone whilst driving illegal? I guess in Alameda it really pays to carpool, so you can designate a social media monitor while cruising the multitude of small streets lined with Victorian houses on a man made island located between San Francisco and Oakland (closer to Oakland though it’s nice to say that you are close San Francisco which generally elicits ooh’s and awws from onlookers). Surely there must be some other helpful uses of social media that the police are planning? Maybe not. Oh yeah, it says all lieutenants will have their own personal twitter account. Well, I’m sure that’s useful. Now you can try to argue your way out of a traffic ticket via twitter I guess, cause there doesn’t seem to be anything else going on in Alameda these days.
